Remove advertising from Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger
How to customise and remove the advertising and other annoying features from Windows Live Messenger and MSN Messenger. Works for Yahoo Messenger too.
Warning: I’m not sure about the legality of removing adverts or modifying Live Messenger or MSN Messenger, and I take no responsibility for doing so.
- Go to apatch.org and download the appropriate A-Patch for your version of Messenger.
- Run A-Patch.
- Work through the A-Patch options, being careful not to remove too many things or you’ll need to start over. A-Patch has an option to create a backup, make sure that’s enabled or you may not be able to revert to a normal Messenger should you not like the changes you have made.
